Sarah Becquer´s Blog

Mi idilio con los aceites faciales

My love affair with facial oils lasts for years, and yours, I hope it continues or begins, after the post I have written for you.

Because when you have knowledge, and you know that something works well, you don't want to keep it to yourself, but the more people can understand it and internalize it in their cosmetic routine, the better they will feel about their skin and with themselves.

Some pharmaceutical colleagues when I launched the Sarah Becquer brand, raised certain reluctance in the use and recommendation of facial oils, either because their skin was combination / oily and they believed that the oils would worsen this complexion, or because they had not directly noticed the function physiological that the vegetable oils that we use in our formulas produce on the skin.

Almost half a year after launching Sarah Becquer, I am seeing how they themselves and the people who have recommended our products, are delighted with the introduction into their beauty routine of these precious elixirs of nature.

So I have decided to briefly tell you why the introduction of our dry oils (Recovery Oil or Nutrition Oil) in your cosmetic routine will improve your skin, taking it to another level of hydration, luminosity, and consistency.

Our facial oils are formulated with vegetable oils and have a dry touch, which makes them easily absorbed by the skin, and does not leave you the unctuous sensation that you expect to notice when using them.

The nature of our skin is oily. The outermost layer of our skin, known as the epidermis, acts as a block of bricks and its cement.

By analogy, the bricks are skin cells called keratinocytes, and the cement that binds them together are lipids, that is, fat molecules called ceramides or fatty acids.

Our oils are made up of these ceramides and fatty acids, which we have seen to lose over the years. Therefore, the continued use of oils such as Recovery Oil or Nutrition Oil on a daily basis in your beauty routine will help you to recover that cement that is lost naturally over time.

In addition, the main property of our oils is to hydrate.

This moisturizing capacity is given the characteristic of both partial occlusiveness, preventing the loss of transepidermal water, and emolliency, since it softens, calms, and improves the general appearance of the skin, giving it greater luminosity.

The oils that we use in our formulas are non-comedogenic, you do not have to fear the appearance of pimples, as long as you are obviously careful with the hygiene and care of your skin.

Our oils are biomimetic. They are similar to the lipids that exist naturally in the skin, and for this reason, they are absorbed quickly and the skin integrates them into its structure as its own. This fact, with continued use, is what will help to regain the appearance and hydration of the skin.

In addition, our oils have sebum-regulating properties. This means that by providing the lipids that the skin needs exogenously, the skin does not need to generate more sebum to withstand external circumstances of dehydration, such as heat in summer, or cold in winter.

That is why they are very interesting ingredients to include as a serum in your cosmetic routine, because they will provide, in addition to antioxidants, vitamins and nutrients that are beneficial for your skin, lipids that help improve its structure and barrier function, as well as its hydration and regulation. of excess sebum.

This last paragraph goes for several more installments of this blog, so if you liked it, give me a few more days, and then I'll tell you more interesting facts about cosmetic routines with facial oils.

Do you like them better now that you've read it? Would you like to try it?

Enjoy the last week of July this year 2020.
